금혜원

금혜원은 오늘날의 삶을 구성하는 환경, 사회, 역사에 대한 관심을 바탕으로 작업하고 있다. 일민미술관(2011), 아트선재센터(2014), 아트스페이스풀(2018)을 비롯해 7회의 개인전과 국립현대미술관(2021), 서울시립미술관(2019), 대구사진비엔날레(2018), 평창비엔날레(2017) 등지에서 다수의 그룹전에 참여하였다. 2013년 12회 다음작가상을 수상하였고, 국립현대미술관, 경기도미술관, 서울시립미술관, 부산현대미술관, 한미사진미술관 등에 작품이 소장되어 있다.

<Cloud Shadow Spirit> 2013-2014

《Cloud Shadow Spirit》은 반려동물의 죽음을 기리는 다양한 태도와 형식에 관한 사진 프로젝트이다. 미국, 일본, 그리고 한국을 중심으로 장례식, 화장터, 납골당, 묘지, 동결건조 박제, 인공사리 등의 동물장례산업 전반과 그 추모의 방식을 조명함으로써 오늘날의 반려동물에게 투영되는 가치와 욕망, 그리고 동시대의 정서적 환경을 재고하고자 한 작업이다.

Hyewon Keum

Hyewon Keum works based on her interest in the environment, society, and history that make up today's life. 7 times of sole exhibitions including Ilmin Museum of Art (2011), Art Seonjae Center (2014), Art Space Pool (2018), and participated many group exhibitions including the National Museum of Contemporary Art (2021), the Seoul Museum of Art (2019), the Daegu Photo Biennale (2018), and the Pyeongchang Biennale (2017). She won the 12th Artist's Award in 2013, and its works are kept at the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the Gyeonggi Museum, the Seoul Museum of Art, the Busan Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Hanmi Museum of Photography.

<Cloud Shadow Spirit> 2013-2014

Cloud Shadow Spirit is a photography project about various attitudes and forms treating the death of pets. It aims to reconsider the values and desires projected to today's pets and the contemporary emotional environment by illuminating the entire animal funeral industry, including funeral, crematorium, charnel house, graveyard, freeze-drying stuffed and artificial around United States, Japan, and South Korea.

권도연

대학에서 문학을 공부하고 대학원에서 사진을 전공했다. 사진을 이용해 지식과 기억, 시각 이미지와 언어의 관계를 탐색하는 작업을 하고 있다. 주요 개인전으로는 《SF》(갤러리 소소, 파주, 2020), 《SIOT》(일우스페이스, 서울, 2020), 《북한산》(갤러리누크, 서울, 2019), 《섬광기억》(갤러리룩스, 서울, 2018), 《고고학》(KT&G 상상마당, 서울, 2015)이 있으며, 미국 포토페스트 비엔날레, 스페인 포토에스파냐 비엔날레, 고은사진미술관, 서울시립미술관, 국립현대미술관 등에서 다수의 단체전에 참여했다. 2011년의 사진비평상을 비롯하여 제 7회 KT&G 상상마당 SKOPF 올해의 최종 작가(2015), 영국 브리티시 저널 오브 포토그라피의 ‘Ones to Watch’(2016), 제 10회 일우 사진상(2019)을 수상했다.

북한산

(북한산)에 등장하는 개들은, 대대적인 북한산 들개 포획작업에서 살아남은 개들이다. 2012년 은평구에서 진행된 대규모 재개발 사업으로 버려진 개들이 북한산으로 유입되었고 개채 수가 증가하자, 들개에 관한 민원을 해결하기 위해서 서울시는 2017년까지 약 700마리의 개들을 포획하였다 이후 남아있는 들개의 숫자는 서울시 추정 약 50여 마리이다. 나는 남아있는 이들을 2년간 사진으로 기록하였다. 들개는 생태학적으로 뉴트리아나, 황소개구리, 배스와 같이 외래종으로 분류된다. 외래종이 들어와서 고유종을 잡아먹고 고유종의 개체 수를 감소시키기 때문에 생태계 교란종으로 취급해 배스나 블루길을 잡아내는 것과 같다. 포획된 들개를 기다리는 건 죽음뿐이다. 암묵적이지만 잡힌 들개는 눈앞에서 죽이지 않을 뿐 대부분 죽는다. 종종 풍경은 거기서 살고 있는 생명의 풍경이 펼쳐지는 무대라기보다는 하나의 커튼처럼 보인다. 그 뒤에서 살아남기 위한 투쟁 성취 그리고 그 사건들이 벌어지고 있는 커튼.

Doyeon Gwon

Studied literature at university and majored in photography at graduate school. She is working on exploring the relationship between knowledge and memory, visual images and language using photographs. Major individual exhibitions include (SF (Gallery Soso, Paju, 2020), 《SIOT》 (Ilwoospace, Seoul, 2020), 《Bukhansan》 (Gallery Nook, Seoul, 2019), 《Scintillation Memory》 (Gallery Lux, Seoul, 2018), 《Archaeology》 (KT&G Sangsangmadang, Seoul, 2015), and She participated in a number of group exhibitions at the Photofest Biennale in U.S., the Photo Espanya Biennale in Spain, the Goeun Museum of Photography, the Seoul Museum of Art, and the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art. As well as 2011 Photography Criticism Award, she won the “Finalist artist of the Year” (2015) in 7th KT&G Sangsangmadang SKOPF, the British Journal of Photography's "One's to Watch" (2016), and the 10th Ilwoo Photography Award (2019).

BUKHANSAN

The dogs in (Bukhansan) are the wild dogs that survived in massive capturing at the Bukhansan. In 2012, after a massive redevelopment project in Eunpyeong district caused abandoned dogs flew in Bukhansan Mountain and the number of dogs increased, the Seoul Metropolitan Government captured about 700 dogs by 2017 to solve complaints about wild dogs. The remaining number of wild dogs is estimated about 50 in Seoul. I recorded the rest of them for two years by photograph. Wild dogs are ecologically classified as exotic species such as nutriana, bullfrog, and bass. It is like treating them as an ecosystem disturbance to catch bass or bluegill Because exotic species come in to eat and reduce the number of native species. The only thing waiting for a captured wild dog is death. Although wild dogs are tacitly not killed in front of citizens, most of them die. Often, the scenery looks more like a curtain than a stage where the landscape of life that lives there unfolds. The curtain that achievement and struggle to survive behind it, and where the events are going on.

김도균(KDK)

sf 시리즈는 실제의 공간, 현재의 공간을 가상의 공간으로, 미래의 공간으로 가공하고 변모하는 작업이다. science fiction 에서 space faction으로 작업을 정의하고 말로만 표현 할 수 없는 상상의 공간을 이미지로 탄생시킨다. 인공적인 빛과 극적인 구성으로 현재의 건물들을 마치 미래의 공간처럼 표현해 낸다. 실재의 공간과 현실을 상상으로 가공하여 그 둘의 경계를 허문다.

SF

서울예술대학교에서 사진을 공부한 후 독일 뒤셀도르프쿤스트 아카데미에서 마이스터슐러(토마스 루프), 아카데미브리프(크리스토퍼 윌리암스) 과정을 마쳤다. 공간의 특성을 다양하게 탐구하며 지금까지 23번의 개인전과 113번의 그룹전을 통해 작업을 선보이고 있다. Cite International des Arts (파리), ISCP (뉴욕)등 국내외 레지던시 프로그램에 참여했으며, 삼성미술관 Leeum(서울), UBS 아트 컬렉션(스위스), MMCA(서울)등 다수의 기관에 작품이 소장되어 있다. 현재 서울예술대학교 디자인학부 사진전공 교수로 재직 중이다.

KDK

Sf series is processed and transformed task that converting real space into the virtual and future space. This task is defined from science fiction to space faction, and It creates an image of imagined space which is cannot expressed with only words. Artificial light and dramatic formation express the current buildings alike the space of future. It demolishes boundaries of real space and present by creating with imagination.

SF

After studying photography at Seoul Institute of the Arts, he completed courses in Meister Schuller (Thomas Loop) and Academy Brief (Christopher Williams) at the Düsseldorfkünst Academy in Germany. It explores the characteristics of space in various ways and has been presenting its work through 23 individual exhibitions and 113 group exhibitions so far. He has participated in domestic and foreign residential programs such as Cite International des Arts (Paris) and ISCP (New York) and his works are kept in various institutions such as Samsung Museum of Art Leeum (Seoul), UBS Art Collection (Switzerland), and MMCA (Seoul). He is currently a professor of photography at the Seoul Institute of the Arts, majoring in design.

박형렬

서울예술대학에서 사진을 공부하고 한국예술종합학교 미술원에서 조형예술과 예술전문사과정(M.F.A)을 졸업했다. 2019년에 일우스페이스에서 10회 일우사진상 수상작가전 《Unseen Land》전과 2017년에 Fondation Manuel Rivera-Ortiz(프랑스,아를) 에서 《Slow-Drawing》전을 개최한 것을 비롯해, 총 12여차레 개인전을 가졌으며, 2018년 한미사진미술관에서 한국-북유럽 교류전시 《Nature As a Playground》와 2016년에 Hanger 18(벨기에,브뤼셀)에서 《Loving Earth》등 수차례 그룹전에 참여했다. 2015년 13회 다음작가상(박건희문화재단)과 2019년 10회 일우사진상(일우재단) 등을 수상했으며 2016, 2018 서울문화재단 예술작품지원 개인전 지원 기금을 수여받았다. 그의 작업은 서울시립미술관, 국립현대미술관 미술은행, 경기도미술관 등 주요 국공립미술관에 소장되어 있으며, 2019년 이안북스에서 작품집 《Unseen Land》를 발간했다.

피규어 프로젝트

Figure Project는 인간이 자연을 풍경화 시키는 다양한 구조들의 형태들을 실제 자연공간에서 은유적으로 재구성하여 사진으로 기록한 작업이다. 실제 땅의 질감과 환경적인 상태(수분, 온도) 등의 조건을 고려하여 작업을 진행하였고, 사진의 기록을 통해 행위의 흔적을 드러냄과 동시에 사진의 평면성과 인간이 풍경에 부여하는 크기와 규모에 대한 환영을 만들어내는 작업이다. 또한, 본인은 오랫동안 사진과 서구 대지미술의 관계에 대한 확장을 실험하고 있으며, 작가에 의해 대상화 되는 자연의 요소들에 회의적인 시각을 가지고, 실제 조각한 땅을 다시 덮어 원래의 모습에 가장 가깝게 되돌려 놓으려는 과정을 통해 지속 가능한 자연과의 관계를 연구하고 있다.

Hyong-Ryol BAK

He studied photography Seoul Institute of the Arts and graduated M.F.A. course from the Korea National University of Arts art Institute. He held a total of 12 sole exhibitions including 《Unseen Land, 2019》 at Ilwoo Space and 《Slow-Drawing, 2017》 at Fondation Manuel Rivera-Ortiz(Arles, France). Also, he participated many group exhibitions including 《Nature As a Playground, 2018》 which was Korea-North Europe collaboration in Korea-U.S. Museum of Photography and 《Loving Earth, 2016》 in Hanger 18(Brussels, Belgium). He won the 13th Artist Award (Park Gun-hee Cultural Foundation) in 2015 and the 10th Ilwoo Photography Award (Ilwoo Foundation) in 2019 and was awarded funds to support individual exhibitions at the 2016 and 2018 by Seoul Cultural Foundation. His works are kept in the Seoul Museum of Art, the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, and the Gyeonggi Museum of Art, and he published his collection 《Unseen Land》 at "Ian Books" in 2019.

Figure Project

Figure Project is a metaphorical reconstruction of various structures in which humans landscape nature in real natural spaces and recorded them as photographs. The work was carried out in consideration of the actual texture of the land and environmental conditions (moisture, temperature), and the photograph records reveal traces of activity while creating visions of the flatness of the photograph and the size and scale of the landscape. Also, He have long experimented with the expansion of the relationship between photography and Western land art, elements of nature that are targeted by skeptical viewpoint, and studying the relationship with sustainable nature by covering the actual carved land back to its original shape.

박부곤

2012년 진화의 땅을 시작으로 경인아라뱃길을 기록한 열린풍경(2014), 어떤기원(2016), 공명하는 빛(2016), 시공간의 여행을 표현한 타임워프(Time wap, 2017), 대지와 트래킹 작업을 이용하여 입체 공간을 만들어 작품 안으로 여행하는 불연속세트를 전시한 순환의 재구성(2019), 유토피아의 초상(인천서구문화재단, 2020), 사진을 입체적으로 설치한 흔들리는 풍경(2020) 등 9회의 개인전을 가졌다. 중화세기 멀티미디어전 '일상-심상' (중국 베이징), 동강사진제, Art space LOO 신진 작가 공모에 선정되었으며, 중국 리수이 국제사진축제(한국현대사진가전, 2017), 제16회 동강국제사진제(2017), 중화세기 멀티미디어전 '일상-심상'(2017), 서울사진축제 문래동 특별전(2016) 등 주요 기획전에 참여 하였다.

트래킹

“트래킹(Tracking)” 연작은 2010년부터 2021년 현재까지 개발현장을 사진으로 기록하는 작업에서 발견된 생각을 땅 표면에 새겨진 개발의 흔적들을 따라서 걷는 것으로 땅의 기운을 온몸으로 느끼고, 마침내 출발지점으로 다시 돌아가는 육체적 행위를 장 노출 기법으로 기록한 사진 작업이다. 어둠에 그려진 불규칙한 궤적은 무한 에너지와 희망의 불빛이 남긴 물리적 자국이다. 더욱 윤택하고 현대적인 삶을 유지하기 위해 실행된 개발과 착취, 그리고 필연적으로 발생할 수밖에 없는 환경파괴에 대한 깊은 인식과 반성을 땅 위를 배회하는 몸짓으로 표현하려 했으며, 훼손된 모습 이전의 자연과 대지로의 회귀를 염원하는 작업이다. “트래킹-터널(Tracking-Tunnel)"은 직선으로 걷는 궤적을 기록하여 인간의 불완전성을 시험하였다.“트래킹-공전(Tracking-Revolution)” 연작은 모든 곳에 작용하는 보이지 않는 힘의 속성과 의미를 트래킹 작업으로 표현하였다.

Starting with the Land of Evolution in 2012, he got 9 sole exhibitions including an (Open view, 2014) which recorded Gyeongin Ara Waterway, (Origin, 2016), (Tympanitic light, 2016), (Time warp, 2017), (Reconstruction of a cycle, 2019) with displaying irregular set which used ground and tracking task to make dimensional space to travel into artwork, (Portrait of Utopia, 2020) (Incheon Seogu Cultural Foundation), and (Swinging Landscape, 2020) with displaying a three-dimensional exhibition of photographs. He was selected for China's Multimedia Exhibition "Daily-Simsang" (Beijing, China), Donggang Photography Festival, Art Space LOO as New Artist Contest, and participated in major exhibitions such as China's Li Shui International Photography Festival (Korea Modern Photography Exhibition, 2017), Donggang International Photography Festival (2017), China's Multimedia Exhibition's "Daily-Simsang", and Seoul Photography Festival Mullae-dong Special Exhibition (2016).

Irregular trajectories drawn in the dark are physical marks left by infinite energy and light of hope. It tried to express deep awareness and reflection on the development, exploitation, and inevitable environmental destruction carried out to maintain a more abundant modern life with gestures wandering the ground, wishing for a return to nature and earth before the damage. Tracking-Tunnel" experiments human imperfections by recording the trajectory of walking in a straight line. The "Tracking-Revolution" series expresses the nature and meaning of invisible forces acting everywhere by tracking task.

안종현

(1982, 서울)은 사진의 물질적 기록과 미학적 재현이라는 이중적 특성에 천착하여 인간과 사회, 인간과 자연, 현재와 역사의 관계를 재조명한다. 제11회 일우사진상 및 사진비평상, 미래작가상, KT&G 상상마당 올해의 작가 등을 수상, 선정받았다. 작품은 고은사진미술관, 국립현대미술관 등에 소장 중이다. 서울대학교 미술관, 송은아트스페이스 토탈미술관, 등 다수의 그룹전을 가졌다. www.anjonghyun.com

시작의 불

2017년 봄 강릉에 큰 산'불'이 나서 며칠 동안 '불'이 꺼지지 않는다는 신문기사를 보았다. 현대화된 사회에서 불을 며칠이나 걸려서도 끄지 못한다는 사실이, '불'이 났다는 사실보다 신기하게 다가왔다. 인류가 사용하는 '불' 중 원자력 발전소의 '불'은 끄고자 하여도 끄는 기술이 아직 발견하지 못했다는 글을 본 적이 있다. 그 '불'은 인간이 사용하는 가장 강력한 '불' 중 하나이지만, 끄고 싶을 때 끌 수 없는 '불'이다. 통제되지 않는 기술을 사용하는 인간의 욕망과 미래의 대한 생각으로 이어지니 원자력의 '불'은 두려움으로 다가왔다. 시작의 불 작업을 진행 하면서 '불'에 대한 보편적 단면과 사적인 경험을 인한 시각적 이미지가 연결되는 경험을 하였다. 화재가 난 현장에 대한 시각적 재현은 이미지를 통해 현실의 가상의 경계선을 구축하고 반영하고 가로지른다는 전제로부터 시작하였다. 결과적으로 사진적 재현을 통해 어떻게 이러한 경계가 미학적 주관화와 객관적 과정에 반영되어 있는지를 탐구하며, 이러한 미학적 과정들을 통해 다양한 관점을 제시하는데 본 작업의 의의를 둔다.

Jong Hyun An(1982, Seoul) reframes the relationship between man and society, man and nature, present and history by adhering to the dual nature of photography and aesthetic reproduction. He received the 11th Ilwoo Photography Award, Photography Criticism Award, Future Artist Award, KT&G Imagination Garden Artist of the Year and others. Fire of Beginning

In the spring of 2017 in Gangneung, a big mountain "fire" broke out, and I saw a newspaper article that said the fire would not go out for several days. In a modernized society, the fact that it takes days to extinguish the fire came as a surprise rather than the fact that the fire broke out. I have read that the technology to extinguish the "fire" of nuclear power plants among the "fire" used by humans has yet to be discovered. The 'fire' is one of the most powerful 'fire' humans use, but it is 'fire' that cannot be extinguished when they want to. The "fire" of nuclear power came as fear, as it led to human desire to use uncontrolled technology and thoughts about the future. As I worked on the "fire at the beginning", I experienced a connection between the universal cross-section of "fire" and the visual image due to my personal experience. Visual reproduction of the site of the fire began with the premise that the virtual boundaries of reality were established, reflected and crossed through images. As a result, photographic reproduction explores how these boundaries are reflected in aesthetic subjectivity and objective processes and is significant in presenting various views through these aesthetic processes.

오석근

영국 노팅엄 트렌트 대학에서 사진을 공부했으며 2000~2002년에는 동티모르 세계평화유지군 사진병으로 근무했다. 포틀랜드, 노팅엄, 도쿄, 부에노스아이레스, 서울, 인천에서 11회의 개인전과 국립현대미술관(2017, 2008), 뷰카레스트 국립현대미술관(2016), 대구사진비엔날레(2016), 포틀랜드미술관(2012), 리버풀비엔날레(2012), 휴스턴현대미술관(2009), 포토페스트비엔날레(2008) 등 국내외 90회 이상의 단체전에 참여하였다. 작가의 작품은 휴스턴현대미술관(미국), 포틀랜드미술관(미국), 산타바바라미술관(미국), 키요사토사진박물관(일본), 일민미술관(한국) 등에 소장되어 있다.

교과서(철수와 영희)

대한민국 교과서에는 아이들을 계몽하는 이미지들로 가득하다. 그러나 현실의 기억을 되짚어 볼 때 우리의 어린 시절은 기묘하거나 충격적인 기억으로 채워져 있고 이러한 기억은 특정한 계기를 통해 일상에 주기적으로 나타나 영향을 미친다. 사진 작가인 나와 어린 시절의 기묘한 기억을 가진 사람들이 교과서 주인공인 철수와 영희의 인형탈을 쓰고 그 감정적인 순간을 함께 재구성하였고 이렇게 만들어진 순간은 1970년대부터 1990년대까지 초등학교를 다닌 한국인의 대항기억으로, 또 다른 교과서로 자리한다.
